The Rural Doctors Workforce Agency (RDWA) is a non-profit organisation, funded by the Australian and State Governments and assists in “obtaining, keeping and skilling” the rural medical workforce in South Australia.
The Rural Doctors Workforce Agency’s vision is to build high quality medical services in partnership with rural and remote communities. To achieve this, the Agency has adopted the following strategies:
• To recruit and sustain a high quality rural and remote medical workforce
• To lead innovative research and workforce planning that will inform and guide the next generation of rural medical practice
• To promote and facilitate vibrant and resilient models of health care in partnership with rural and remote communities
